Recommendation Roundups

Summertime is for fun in the sun, sweet accessories with bathing suits, and lots of heated love. I love to bring out my fun jewelry this time of year, and have lots of new selections to share that have been enticing me.

  1. Classically cool with any simple summer dress | 2. Nothing more delicious than this fun summer tomato | 3. If you’re with edgier taste, this is a piece that brings both color and texture | 4. I mean, does it get more summery than these perfect earrings? | 5. These are at the top of my fine jewelry wishlist. If you’re having a baby these would make the perfect push present | 6. Summer bday splurge anyone? | 7. If you like classic but open to a summery detail, these hit the mark |

    8. No better season to shroom out, if you’re catching my drift.

A Springtime Soiree. The table setting is where I thrive, no shock there! I received so many nice messages yesterday. With having to seat so many, I really wanted to not break the bank on the tablescape but still have it be thoughtfully curated (or be upset if glassware, etc. ended up broken throughout the night. FUN is my dinner party priority). You can find all my items linked below!

  1. This print is really beautiful in person, which is sometimes not the case on Amazon.

  2. Last time, I bought mixed colors and it was not at all giving chic. Sticking with one color made adding glassware seamless and lovely.

  3. Definitely a majorly complimented item. I did a month long deep dive for these, and can source them for you. Shoot me a DM!

  4. A vase is a secret weapon. These long vases make creating an elegant arrangement so easy, my only other tip is 3 or more types of flowers.

  5. When I tell you have been shouting out that these are from Walmart. You’d think I was making a commission.

  6. I’ve shared these on my website before, but I give sets of them all the time because I love them so much.

One honorable mention - my mom taught me to bulk up the table with burlap beneath. These look like the ones she lets me borrow.

The lewk was an Abercrombie & Fitch number from last summer. Available in all sizes in blue. Jazzed it up with earrings + shoes. When hosting, I want to feel as confident as possible. On Friday, that meant keeping it simple.

It is not a secret that mothers deserve it all. They (we (lol)) quite literally do it all and one can only really know what it takes to be a mother once they become one. In my opinion, there is no more important holiday than mother’s day. Make your mother - mother figure - mom friends - feel extra special with my picks here.

  1. One of my favorite jewelers out of San Antonio. They can ship 1 day and how timeless and elegant is this ring? Several styles available | 2. Shameless summer plug but who can’t resist an Agua Bendita set? Shop this suit and pareo here, but South to North here in town carries this fabulous brand that will wow any mother | 3. Ear cuff from a Colombian designer for the ultimate cool mom gift | 4. I have discussed many times my obsession with second hand bags. Get her this forever bag and you’ll almost be as accomplished as the mother in your life | 5. I am a candle maniac and when I tell you this candle is absolutely perfect no notes, I mean it. Just restocked my personal stash and was floored to see these can be purchased online instead of at the hotel. | 6. Summer styling continues if your mom is a shoe girl (who isn’t?)

Making butter yellow happen. The color of the season has us all smitten, thank you Timmy! As a longtime lover of butter yellow (see 1000 previous stories about every time I happen to find butter yellow tulips anywhere), see my picks on which pieces have me salivating like real butter. (too much?)

  1. Satin mules stopped me in my tracks

  2. I need to get my hands on this set or I am going to lose it

  3. If you have hesitation, these are a great way to try the color out

  4. I’ve already harped on about my love for secondhand bags, and this one is a perfect way to add in color.

  5. I have this and recently wore - every person I saw complimented it

  6. These are chic and the color is described as “butter”

  7. Protect from actual sunny butter colored rays with this yellow searsucker hat (has an excellent matching dress too).

Honorable mentions are these cups and this from a frequently shared brand across my page.

Spring break is supppppeeeerrrr soon, so I thought I’d roundup my favorite things I purchased for my NYC (coldweather trip) and below my recent Nassau trip (warm weather for those headed to the beach). I am beating a dead horse with the year of the conscious purchases reminders, so here is what has worked for me time after time in NYC (and back home on the few freezing days we have had).

I have struggled with puffers personally, but love that this isn’t a zip, creates a waist, and is brown | I cannot, and I mean absolutely cannot get enough of this and this turtleneck. The weight and comfort is excellent, and I’ve been wearing with anything from athleisure to dressy. | I purchased some SW combat boots ages ago. I’ve invested in boots since, but when it comes to comfort and walking around all day while looking good, these are the ones I grab time and time again in cold weather. | If you’re a chapped lips girly, look no further. | Similar to reasoning above with the plain turtleneck, but this really ups the ante in the sexy department. I’ve worn probably 15 times since purchasing.

And warm weather trip musts. I didn’t get crazy with swimsuits and lewks for myself because when I am parenting in a different city, I’m not really concerned about serving my best work!

The Visor that gives WASP in the best sense | No secret I love a cherry print and the price is right for the people that grow out of things in a month’s time | Beach bag that doesn’t get sandy and holds everything and more | Different from lewks, I am always trying for the flattest tummy while in a bikini; these help a ton! | Remember that crazy article meant to drive moms crazy about how sunscreen is super toxic? This one isn’t and is amazing.

The season of love and friendship is here. February is a great month because January is still reeling post holiday, and February is a short and sweet palette cleanser. Since it is still so close to post-holiday, I don’t really believe in going all out. Most people have just done alot to show those around them they care and can make a season special. My valentines preference is staying home, making an easy rack of lamb, drinking a nice and usually sentimental brand of wine, and watching a movie with my husband. We usually get each other something small, so here are some small gifts for the friends in your life that deserve a little treat.

I did some purchasing over the last couple of months and have some recommendations on some faves. From personal to presents, here are my most recent purchases that have really wow-ed me.

Agolde 90s High Rise | Is anyone else striking out on jeans? I don’t know if it’s because they carry hardly anything in stores, but this is the first pair that fits and doesn’t stretch to saggy bum after 1 wear. I got 1 size smaller than what I think is my regular jean size

Nood Flasher | I have tried everything from razors, to wax, to epilating. This is a time commitment but I am 1 month in to my two month recommendation and I see a huge difference in my leg hair growth (sorry not sorry)

Cherry Tablecloth | Your springtime table is cheeky!

Fuzzy Belted Coat | I received this just in time for the snow and let me tell you, it doesn’t disappoint in warmth or chicness.

14K Solid Gold Initial Necklace | I got this for a friend of mine and the quality is impeccable for the price. On sale now and considering for myself.

January is the season of reset. I personally am looking for deeper “resolutions” this year. Mine include less alcohol, more self care, and more than anything else, less consumption. Whether that be in frivolous purchases, indulgent drinks, or even the content I consume, I want it all to be better for me physically and mentally. See how I’m trying to achieve this practice with my suggestions below!

  1. Kin Euphorics; Bella Hadid Juice keeps real drinks at bay. Put in a pretty glass and you won’t even notice it’s not a cocktail | 2. Earlybird CBD; Not the first, or the last time I will talk about these amazing “melt your worries in a non-paranoia way” gummies | 3. Red Light Therapy Mask; I already have this, as it’s an investment, but getting back into the practice of using it daily | 4. A Pretty Journal (which I am adding in with a daily devotional); 2024 had some pretty intense valleys, so practicing gratitude and writing down what I’d like to manifest is a practice I’m willing to try | 5. Wear it Well By Allison Bornstein; I really am trying to hone in on a personal style, as things have felt a little out of whack since having my second. I’m hopeful this will help me do that while helping me consume less fast fashion purchases which can be my Achilles heel

There are tons of amazing ways to decorate, but a classic theme really tugs at my heartstrings during this season. The nostalgia is unbeatable. Here are my picks for a classic red allover table!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with lots of style in mind! Here are some beautiful stockings options to up the ante on your holiday decor.

It’s officially Thanksgiving season and I am feeling all things rich, warm, cozy, and honestly - neutral & earthy! Here are my top picks this season to build a beautiful tablescape. From Amazon to Mrs. Alice, you’ll find some great pieces here!

In my experience, it can take a few tries to get the holiday outfit right. I have rounded up 5 current ones I am obsessed with. I’ll trickle more throughout November as I see anything noteworthy!

I’m gearing up for a winter trip and realized I need a better coat. I’m in the age bracket where I’m trying to steer away from fast fashion (not easy). Here are some elegant picks that are timeless but also have their own unique design elements. I’ll be including trendier options on my weekly picks.

“Worry about your own damn self szn” is how I like to refer to September 1 - December 31st. When you live in a place with Houston’s climate, please let us delusionally decorate as soon as we can and do what we please when it comes to the holidays. We need a summer reprieve and we need it yesterday.

With a strict “no toy” policy for kid’s birthdays, I love an Etsy hunt for unexpected and useful items. I also find they are less expensive and have such a longer lifespan. Please note, Etsy has very unreliable shipping so plan accordingly (see local item if you’re in a hurry).

T-3 weeks until school means I’m in panic mode. If you needed something to light the fire under you, let this be it. See my top school recs below!

Linen pants are the only thing getting me through this hellish heat. If you aren’t a dress girly, dressing in this weather can be a challenge. Here are my recs for living on the surface of the sun.
